We are halfway through the year, and many people wish to say “good riddance” to 2020. Undoubtedly, this has been a challenging year.
There is ongoing uncertainty about how the pandemic will play out and what “normal” will be moving forward. Exactly what the future will bring is outside of our individual control.
Trying times are always painful to go through. But historically, trials such as these are a catalyst for human progress. Adversity has the potential to strengthen us and help us become better and more capable than we thought possible.
While we may not be able to control the challenges we face, we do have significant control over how we respond. Perhaps it is as simple as making a conscious choice to grow, improve, and even thrive.
In the future, when telling your story of 2020 to your kids or grandkids, what will be your message? Will it be the year that you would prefer to forget? Or, will you tell them about the difficulty of the pandemic, but how it was a catalyst for your personal growth – that through it you became a better, stronger person. The good news is that this story is well within your control.
If you think others would be inspired by this message, please share it. 2020 is only half over. There is still much to do… Make it a great year!
